Homeowner Shoots Man Attempting To Break Into House

BLAIR, WISCONSIN — Early Monday, a homeowner was forced to shoot an alleged intruder. The incident, reported at 1:16 a.m., occurred when a man forcibly entered a house on Taft Street. The resident’s husband, confronting the intruder, shot him, leading to his apprehension.

Authorities, arriving to a broken door and the wounded suspect in the garage, transferred him to local medical facilities for treatment. Further investigation revealed the same individual had attempted a prior break-in at a different, unoccupied home.

The Blair Police Department confirmed the isolated nature of the event and withheld identities, continuing the investigation. No additional public threat is indicated.
