Concealed Carrying Taco Bell Employee Shoots Armed Robber

AKRON, OHIO — An armed robbery at a Taco Bell escalated into gunfire, leading to two arrests on Monday night. Police responded to reports of shots fired at the Taco Bell located on South Arlington Street. It was reported that a male suspect initiated the robbery at gunpoint and shot at an employee. The 21-year-old employee retaliated, injuring the assailant.

The wounded 35-year-old suspect fled and later was located at a local hospital with a serious upper body gunshot injury, now in stable condition. He faces robbery charges. Additionally, 33-year-old Rayshoun Bruce was arrested for his involvement in the incident, suspected of aiding the robber’s escape to the hospital. He is also charged with robbery and is currently held at the Summit County Jail.

Authorities are continuing their investigation and have requested anyone with information to contact the Akron Police Department.
