Resident Dies During Shootout With Multiple Armed Intruders In Home Invasion

Published

HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS — An apartment resident died after getting into a shootout with multiple armed invaders who stormed the home. Once inside, police say they immediately started firing on the resident and a woman who was with him.

The resident fired back, striking at least one of the suspects. The woman hid in the apartment while the suspects ransacked the place.

The wounded suspect was taken to a local hospital in a private vehicle, deputies said. He was later transported to a hospital in Conroe.

The suspect who drove the wounded suspect to the hospital was taken into custody. At least he brought his buddy for medical help.

It isn’t known if the victims knew the suspects.

What is known, however, is how quickly your day or night can change when people come charging in. It takes only a second or two for things to heat up quickly.

From the story, it sounds as though the resident had a firearm very close by, and was able to return fire quickly.

Sadly, it wasn’t enough to save his life.
