“Armed Suspects” Reported On Kennesaw State Campus, All Clear Given After Police Search Campus

UPDATE @ 8:18PM EST: Police have given the all clear after searching the campus. No other details were immediately available.

KENNESAW, GEORGIA — Kennesaw State University issued a series of alerts following a police incident involving reports of armed individuals near its campus. The initial alert came around 6:20 p.m., warning the university community of an “armed suspect” off-campus.

Subsequent updates revealed that these individuals had moved onto the campus grounds.

The university continued to advise students, staff, and visitors to stay sheltered in a secure location while the situation was being handled. By 7:45 p.m., the university’s emergency management requested everyone on campus to remain in place until the police could ensure the area was safe.

According to WSB-TV, one suspect is in custody and police are searching for two additional suspects.

As of the latest update, there have been no injuries reported.
