Over the years, I have received some awesome deals via Craigslist. Each encounter has been a pleasant one, but that doesn’t change the fact that I always bring my firearm with me. This is the world in which we live, and answering an ad on Craigslist can turn into a violent encounter.

This past Wednesday, a couple and their 16-year-old son went out to test drive a car that they saw on Craigslist. After the test drive, another man emerges with a gun and robs them.

Police said that after the father and son finished test driving a 2007 Hyundai Sonata with a third suspect, the gunmen appeared and demanded money. They opened fire when the father stepped in front of his wife, then grabbed her purse and fled. Police later found the abandoned Hyundai and purse, minus the cash.

The father was shot multiple times in the chest and the mother was shot once in the arm. There is no word on their conditions. The son watched in horror as the whole thing unfolded. A couple in the area saw what happened and came to their aid until police and paramedics arrived.

One of the suspects reached into the car and grabbed the woman’s purse, then pointed his gun at the father and shot him in the chest one more time. Talk about your bottom of the barrel, piece of **** criminal. It is my hope that the next person they try to rob is someone that is able to shoot back with precision.

No law in the world would stop violent criminals like these people.
