Alert Man Inside Home Shoots At Suspects Attempting To Rob Family Member Outside

HOUSTON, TEXAS — In a recent incident in northeast Houston, a man was victimized by an armed robbery outside his home. The event occurred around 12:30 a.m. in the 2600 block of Caplin Street. As the victim was exiting his car to enter his house, three masked individuals confronted him, robbing him at gunpoint.

During the robbery, a family member inside the house witnessed the event and engaged in a shootout with the robbers. One robber was injured and later located by a police K-9 unit. This individual has been hospitalized and faces charges for aggravated robbery. The remaining two suspects, who fled in a white Ford SUV, are still at large.

The Houston Police Department is conducting a thorough investigation into the robbery and encourages anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers.
