Two Anglers Encounter Grizzly Bear, One Shoots And Kills It As It Charged Them

BOZEMAN, MONTANA — In a recent event in the Tom Miner Basin as reported by the Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks, a fisherman fatally shot a grizzly bear as a measure of self-protection.

According to the authorities, the incident unfolded on Wednesday, August 30, on private property situated beside Tom Miner Creek.

The scenario developed as two fishermen were navigating through thick bushes and suddenly faced an aggressive charge from the grizzly bear.

During the encounter, one of the fishermen managed to shoot and kill the bear.

The Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks noted that the mature male grizzly was probably acting defensively, triggered by an unexpected face-to-face meeting.
