Packing Pizza Delivery Driver Foils Armed Robbery After Being Forced into His Backseat

A 21-year-old is lucky to be alive today after an attempted armed robbery by two suspects. Thankfully, he had his concealed carry gun and was able to fight back.

This past Tuesday, a 21-year-old man was delivering pizzas when just before midnight, two armed men attempted to rob him. The suspects forced the man into the backseat of his car. Unfortunately for the suspects, they didn’t check to see if their intended victim had a gun. And he did.

The pizza delivery driver, who had a valid concealed carry license and a gun, was able to draw his gun and fire two shots. One of the suspects was hit in the lower back, and the other fled the scene. When police arrived, they found the wounded suspect lying on the ground. He was transported to the hospital and is reported to be in critical condition. Charges are also pending.

Food delivery can be a dangerous business and is an easy target for criminals. We read about incidents like these often and have reported on several. Delivery drivers need to be prepared, which not only includes carrying a firearm for protection but also having situational awareness on high alert.
