Woman Shot In The Chest After Having Her Gun Taken By Her Intended Victim

Published

NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA — A woman is in the hospital and waiting to be arrested after police say she was shot in the chest with her own gun after her intended victim fought back.

The incident happened around 2 a.m. Friday. Police say the woman approached a man on the street and pointed a gun at him. The man fought back and was able to gain control over the gun. He then fired and shot the woman in the chest.

After an investigation, the man is not going to face charges, as he was deemed to have acted in self-defense.

While it’s not unheard of, women behind the gun during a crime is a rare thing in comparison to men. The lesson from this incident? Don’t let your guard down, regardless of who is approaching you.
