Man Shot And Killed While Reportedly Attempting Entry Into Fort Smith Home

FORT SMITH, ARKANSAS — Authorities have disclosed the identity of a 21-year-old man who was fatally shot at a property in the southern region of Fort Smith on Wednesday.

Easton Richardson succumbed to gunshot wounds on Wednesday night at an address on Seven Oaks Drive, as confirmed by the local police.

Law enforcement agents responded to an emergency call at the same address in South Fort Smith, where they found a male gunshot victim. The injured individual was immediately transported to a nearby medical facility, where he was declared deceased.

The initial information obtained by the police indicated that the victim was attempting to break into the property when he was shot.

As of Thursday, police have said the investigation into the matter is still in progress.
