3 Dead After Shots Fired In Daytona Beach, Suspect Calls 911

DAYTONA BEACH, FLORIDA — A shooting occurred in Daytona Beach early Wednesday morning, claiming three lives. Residents in the vicinity of Cedar Drive and Park Drive reported hearing gunshots around 6:30 a.m., later finding a victim on Dr. Martin Luther King Blvd.

One witness described a grim scene where two individuals were trying to talk with one of the victims, who was breathing but not responding. Keith Leonard, a local resident, told reporters that his cousin ‘Spoke’ was one of the people shot, although official victim identifications are yet to be released by the Daytona Beach Police.

As police expanded the crime scene late morning due to new information, they anticipate sharing more details at a press conference. Interestingly, the individual who reported the incident to 911 is currently detained and considered a person of interest in the shooting.
