Gunshot “Victim” Actually Attacker, Hauled To Jail

MIDLAND, TEXAS — On November 26th, police were called to a shooting around 8:30 p.m. at the DK Convenience Store in the 5800 block of W. Interstate 20.

Upon arriving, Midland Police Department officers were informed that a gunshot victim was being treated at Midland Memorial Hospital, according to KMID.

During the investigation, police discovered that the victim, 21-year-old Luis Miguel Espinoza Galindo, was actually the aggressor.

According to authorities, Galindo fired his gun at two other males first. One of the males then returned fire with his own firearm, striking Galindo.

Galindo was released from the hospital and later transported to Midland County Jail. He was charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.

No word on what sparked the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
