Oklahoma Homeowner Shoots And Kills Man After Finding Him Inside Home

Published

CHOCTAW COUNTY, OKLAHOMA — A 29-year-old man is dead after being shot and killed after an altercation at a home that he had allegedly broken into. The homeowner found the man inside after arriving back at his home. An alteration began between the two men and at some point, the homeowner fired his gun.

The suspect was found dead outside the home.

So far, no charges have been filed against the homeowner. The investigation is ongoing.

I am not sure if the homeowner was carrying his firearm at the time, but allowing yourself to get close to a suspect while armed is risky business. The two ended up in a physical altercation, and luckily the suspect was not able to gain access to the firearm during the struggle.

Keeping distance is important, and will help you prevail in an incident like this.

It was not clear if other family members were inside the home at the time.
