The news stories fail to mention of the defending man was legally carrying his firearm, so we’ll assume that he was. In any event, his quick actions likely saved his life that day.
A vehicle backed up to where the man and two women were standing in a parking lot, apparently after a little shopping. Two people get out of the car, one with a visible gun. The defender drops the things in his hands and quickly draws and fires, sending all suspects fleeing.
He was able to strike both suspects who exited the vehicle and confronted him, and that’s a job well done, especially under the circumstances.
