Woman Allegedly Loads, Brandishes Gun Over Free Cookie At McDonald’s Drive-Thru

Published

ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA — A woman has been arrested and met with several charges after allegedly loading and waving a gun around in a McDonald’s drive-thru, according to reports.

The woman, Amari Bente Kendricks, reportedly loaded and brandished a firearm and even forced her way into the restaurant and struck one of the employees — all because she felt she was owed a free cookie.

The arrest affidavit said that a McDonald’s employee told law enforcement that the woman was upset that no one asked her if she was using the McDonald’s rewards program, and therefore she was owed a free cookie, according to Fox 13.

Kendricks was allegedly yelling by the time the employee got to the window.

The employees then did what I would do back in my days of fast food service: Kendricks was given a cookie, and I’m sure employees were hoping that’d be the end of it.

It would not be.

Hendricks then allegedly grabbed a handgun, inserted a magazine, and racked the slide, according to the report.

Eventually, Hendricks would allegedly park her car and attempt to enter the front door. The employees had locked it, reportedly because they feared for their lives, which is about right given what we know about the situation.

No matter for Hendricks, according to the report.

She then allegedly forced her way into the restaurant, and hit one of the employees multiple times — police found the employee with scratches to the face and neck, according to Fox 13. Hendricks reportedly then forced the employee out of the building.

Hendricks has been booked on several charges, including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, improper exhibit of a firearm, battery causing bodily harm, and resisting an officer — she allegedly also refused to heed officers’ commands.

I don’t know the cost of a cookie at that particular McDonald’s — I assume prices vary depending on location, to a certain extent — but there’s virtually no way a McDonald’s cookie is worth more than $3.00, and it’s probably significantly less than that.

Insert some variation of your own “I’m not lovin’ it” joke here.
