RALEIGH, NORTH CAROLINA – A man allegedly stabbed two women, robbed a restaurant at knifepoint and caused multiple car crashes in northeast Raleigh Wednesday evening. A 911 call at 8:48 pm summoned police to a reported stabbing in the 4600 block of Dansey Drive.

Arriving officers found two women suffering stab wounds that they received in what was believed to be a domestic incident. Both were transported by Wake County EMS to a local hospital for treatment.

The suspect, who fled in a vehicle, allegedly caused multiple car crashes before exiting the vehicle and fleeing on foot in the 2900 block of East Millbrook Road. Not yet finished with his crime spree, he entered and robbed the Hibachi Buffet at knifepoint. Following the robbery, he ran to the PetSmart on East Millbrook Road. Officers caught up with him there and apprehended him without further incident.

Thursday morning the suspect was identified as 49-year-old Reginald Monte Harrington.  He faces charges of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, robbery with a dangerous weapon, and hit/run fail to stop property damage.

Harrington’s most recent release from the North Carolina Department of Corrections was in December 2016 following a conviction of possession of a firearm by a felon. No stranger to the system, he has previously served time for various crimes including kidnapping and burglary.
