Two Very Serious Scenarios That Show Us How Important It Is To De-Escalate Situations

One of the reasons that we share content from Active Self Protection is that they discuss de-escalation on a very frequent basis. It’s such an essential part of being an armed citizen, especially considering the fact that we’re carrying a firearm. That firearm is a last resort, and we should be doing everything in our power to not make a bad situation worse.

Ego is what comes into play in a lot of these situations, among many other things. The video below shows two instances where things got real… quick. The first one can be categorized as “Oh crap I didn’t mean for that to happen,” except it did.

The second is just bad all around, and there was no ‘oops’ with the bad guy’s intentions.
