There is nothing like shooting a full size handgun. The accuracy a large pistol delivers is unmatched. I consider shooting a large handgun a confidence booster. As the competitive shooting sports market has exploded in the last 10 years, manufacturers have produced numerous full size handguns to meet the demand. Therefore, there are several large handguns available in today’s market.
I decided to go through my safes and pull out my full size handguns for this review. I studied each one preparing for this video. I realized how much each pistol meant to me. Each handgun has their own personality that suits my personality in a weird sort of way. A true firearm enthusiast will understand when I say that each of them talk to me. Perhaps I need to see a psychologist.
It will be hard to argue against any of the pistols featured in this review. They are all “first class” firearms. Full size handguns could be used for sport, home defense, concealed carry or small game hunting. However, in my case, most are used for exciting range fun. I think each collector or firearm enthusiast should have at least one full size pistol. They are perfect for those days when we struggle with accuracy. I find it advantageous to fire a full size pistol prior to shooting smaller handguns. It’s no different than a baseball player warming up by throwing at short distances. The confidence gained when shooting a full size handgun will carry over when shooting our smaller pistols.
Several full size handgun manufacturers are represented in this review. Glock, Springfield Armory, Ruger, CZ, Sig Sauer, Beretta, Walther and many others are included. I realize that I couldn’t have added them all. Check out the video and let us know which of these models to prefer the most. Also, let us know which full size handguns that you would have included.
