Dramatic Video Shows St. Louis Police Taking Fire From Unknown Suspect(s)

Published

Monday night was the worst we’ve seen of the violence, so far, across the Country as a result of protests and riots after the killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis by a police officer.

Video, which was part of a live stream that we shared while covering the chaos, has been circulating and shows police taking fire from an unknown location. It would seem that the four officers who were shot in the city on Monday night were shot during this incident.

Police say four officers were hit by gunfire after protests in St. Louis that started peacefully Monday became violent overnight, with demonstrators smashing windows and stealing items from businesses and fires burning in the downtown area.

The police department tweeted early Tuesday that the officers were taken to a hospital with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening. It was unclear who had fired the shots.

This is a reminder to stay out of these areas and if you have any inclination of violence beginning, get yourself to a safe place. A live video isn’t worth your life.
