Store Employee In NY Opens Fire On Armed Robber; Not Everyone In The State Is Defenseless

Published

SYRACUSE, NEW YORK — Many would believe that the State of New York is home to few gun owners because of the gun control laws that are on the books, but that’s far from the truth. The majority of the issues come from New York City, while the rest of the state is pretty pro-gun.

That’s helpful in cases of armed robbery, such as this one that occurred at a business where the employee being robbed was armed and ready to fight back.

The incident occurred at the Alibaba Market on Wolf Street around 7:45 p.m. Friday. Syracuse police detectives say the suspect busted into the store with a handgun and tried to rob it.

An employee fired shots at the suspect, and the suspect ran away.

Police later found someone suffering from gunshot wounds, and it didn’t take long to tie him to the attempted robbery. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

While detectives are still in the early stages of the investigation, they do not expect any charges against the employee who fired the shots.

And that’s how you successfully defend yourself.
