Robbery Victim Grabs Robber’s Gun And Shoots His Way Out Of Trouble

Published

COLUMBUS, OHIO — A man used a robber’s gun to fight back during a home break-in, and it’s a good thing that the intended target was quick to react.

From local news reports;

According to a press release, a 29-year-old man was in a home in the 1500 block of Granville Street when two people broke into his home. The suspects sprayed the man with pepper spray and demanded property.

A struggle ensued and one of the suspects dropped a loaded handgun. The victim picked up the gun and fired at the suspects, shooting one of them several times.

The suspect who escaped being shot was quick to leave the house and ran to a vehicle that was waiting for him. His buddy, however, got a ride to the hospital instead. He’s listed in critical condition.

Stories like this are not that uncommon, as we see victims gaining control over the robber’s guns from time to time. Whether the victim had a firearm of his own in the home is unknown, he’s lucky that things turned out the way they did.

Clumsy bad guys make for easy targets, themselves. It’s good to see that the intended target was able to fight back… with the very tool that was being used against him just moments before.
