BAKER, LA — When one would-be robber tried to pull one over on a responsibly-armed citizen, he soon found out the hard way that an armed citizen is hardly an easy target.
And for this thug, it would be even more embarrassing than that.
As WAFB reports, the aforementioned thug tried to rob a man late last week. However, unfortunately for him, his intended victim also had a gun.
The robber received a bullet to the leg for his troubles.

Now, here’s where it gets interesting.
According to WAFB, the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office reported that the man who would have been a victim had he not been armed strolled into the Baker Police Department, told them that a man had tried to rob him, and that he had shot him in the leg.
Let me repeat that.
According to WAFB, he didn’t call. He went there.
It’s not entirely clear what occurred with the robber in the meantime, but he was arrested by police and he reportedly will be booked and charged with armed robbery after he is released from the hospital.
Whatever this crook envisioned the crime going down as, that probably didn’t enter his mind, even in the “worst case” scenario.
Now, for those of you, like me, that thinks that this is kind of bad-a**, let’s dial it in a little.
Folks, if you’re involved in a shooting like this, call the police. It’s just a way better idea. Let them come to you.
