Homeowner Shoots And Kills Evening Intruder In Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLORADO — Authorities are currently investigating a shooting incident following a break-in at a private residence.

Late Tuesday evening, approximately at 7:45 p.m., law enforcement officers from the Colorado Springs Police Department were dispatched to a reported burglary on Nebula Court, situated in the Bear Creek vicinity. The owner of the property reported an unexpected intrusion by an unidentified individual.

According to the police, the resident of the house proceeded to shoot the intruder, who managed to escape the scene.

The wounded intruder, whose identity is yet to be revealed to the public, was later discovered by law enforcement officials. He was rushed to a local medical facility, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Following the incident, the homicide division of the police department has taken over the investigation.
