Chinese Delivery Brings More Than Food: Attempted Robbery Outside Abandoned Home Leaves Suspect Thinking About Career Choices

Published

JACKSONVILLE, FL — At least one of a pack of three would-be robbers was shot by a responsibly-armed Chinese food delivery driver.

News 4 Jax reports that the robbers ordered a delivery to be made to an abandoned house, and waited for the delivery man in ambush.

They were hoping to make a quick buck, but that was not to be.

Although they held the delivery driver at gunpoint, he quickly turned the situation right back on them.

According to News 4 Jax, the driver threw down his food, produced a Glock, and fired four or five rounds, hitting at least one of the three teen thugs.

One of the neighbors thought the entire incident was insane.

“Is that money really worth it? The man says he had $200 at the most on him,” said local resident Kelsey who did not give her last name, according to News 4 Jax.

“Y’all planned to kill somebody over $200? They don’t think about innocent kids next door and the next family. When you have a weapon in your hand, anything can happen.”

“Any money, you don’t care, you don’t have the right to even think about taking somebody’s life or think about harming them over some money,” she said later on.

Two of the robbers were reportedly under arrest at the time of News 4 Jax’s coverage, with one still on the loose.

Good move on the part of the driver — not so much for the would-be robbers.
