Delivery Driver Defends Himself Against Armed Robbers

Published

HENRICO, VIRGINIA — Three robbers, including a minor, attempted to rob a delivery driver at 11 p.m. According to police responding to the incident, one of the robbers was armed. Thankfully, the delivery driver was, too, and defended himself.

According to the Richmond Times-Dispatch, Mouctar Bah, 18, of Henrico, was charged with using a firearm in the commission of a robbery. One of the minors in the group was allegedly injured during the incident but was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

This is just another example of everyday people being forced to defend themselves in the course of just a day’s work. A delivery driver depends upon his tips and his vehicle in order to substantiate his income. Losing either, including his life or well-being, would effectively ruin this man.

Those robbers likely didn’t stop to consider that point. In their minds, they likely just saw an easy target and depended upon numbers and an illegally procured gun to do the trick.

Thankfully, random groups of thugs are facing harder and harder resistance as everyday working people are forced to arm up to resist them.

It’s just another case of law-abiding citizen versus armed thugs. We’re happy to hear that the delivery driver managed to resist them without the loss of his life or his health. It’s why we carry and it’s why you should, too. Everyday concealed carry isn’t just a lifestyle choice — it’s the choice to not become a victim.

This delivery driver gets it. Do you?
