Welcome to the 1st Concealed Nation Ammunition Review! We had the opportunity to pick up some ammo from Freedom Munitions and wanted to share our thoughts on their popular target ammunition.
Manufacturer
Freedom Munitions is a manufacturer of new and re-manufactured ammunition for a wide variety of calibers. Located in Idaho, they also have a retail location in Houston, TX. All of their ammunition is manufactured in the USA. Their customers seem to be very happy with purchases based on comments we have read on their Facebook Page and comments on their web site, so we decided to give them a try.
Ammunition
We got our hands on some .380 Auto 100 gr RNFP-FMJ ammo for target practice. Hard to find; harder to find at a great price. A nice brick of 500 is currently around $170 which is an absolute steal.
First Impressions
As soon as our order was received (which was extremely quick), we headed to the range with a Kahr P380 to test out this target ammo. After the first few shots, we knew we had found a great manufacturer. Even though the rounds are re-manufactured, you’d never know it by looking. The brass was super clean and shiny, and they use high-quality bullets and primers. If we had some brand new factory ammo as well, we would never know the difference.
It’s also important to mention this; when we got back, we took the Kahr apart for a good cleaning. To our pleasant surprise, these rounds didn’t dirty up the firearm as much as we’re used to. Add clean-burning rounds to the list of PROS.
Reliability
We stayed a while and fired just shy of 200 rounds and are happy to report that we did not experience a single problem with this ammo. Flawless, flawless, FLAWLESS!! There isn’t much more to say about this. We’re a bunch of happy shooters 🙂
Conclusion
Based on our experience with this ammo so far, we are beyond pleased with this purchase. It’s made by a great company, manufactured in the US, priced right, burns clean, and does what it’s supposed to do. Need to get practice in with your concealed carry firearm but don’t want to spend an arm and a leg for ammo? Freedom Munitions might just be what you’re looking for.
