Police in Winter Haven, FL responded to calls from a wedding where a guest was reportedly assaulting other guests.
“I have a very irate, drunk guest. He’s trying to beat people up. He’s yelling,” the 911 caller said.
Police arrived and tried to calm the suspect down, then giving him commands which he was not complying with. He punched both officers on the head, knocking the first one out cold.
When the second officer was hit, he fell to the ground and then fired 7 shots, killing the suspect, who was the uncle of the bride.
A taser was unsuccessful prior to the shooting and had no effect.
