WINSTON-SALEM, NORTH CAROLINA — Police say they apprehended a suspect a few hours after a shooting at Mount Tabor High School shortly after noon. A student during the incident, who later died a the hospital.
Police believe the suspect is another student at the same school.
The victim was identified as William Chavis Raynard Miller Jr.
“It is a sad day, but we will get through this together,” Forsyth County Sheriff Bobby Kimbrough said. “The Miller family needs your prayers. The children need your prayers – they were traumatized. Our community needs your prayers.”

The suspect’s name has not been released, but was said to be a 15-year-old student.
