A 28-year-old man was the victim of a home invasion where two men stormed into the home and shot him in front of his mother, his wife and three children. Then, they took off with his SUV and left him for dead.
The victim was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
Police are now searching for the victim’s 2009 silver Infinity FX with Georgia tag No. BZE 4050. Hopefully the men responsible will be found as well.
An estimated 3.7 million household burglaries occurred each
year on average from 2003 to 2007. In about 28% of these
burglaries, a household member was present during the burglary.
With numbers like that, this is another example of why I do not unholster my firearm when I’m at home. I always carry at home.
Just yesterday, we reported on a man who was tied up during a home invasion. He happened to be a gun owner, but didn’t have his gun on him. Luckily, he was able to scoot over to the gun safe and somehow retrieve his firearm. Had he not had the opportunity, the story could have ended much differently.
