Aspen Hill Homeowner Fires at Burglars: One Suspect Apprehended

ASPEN HILL, MD (1-minute read) – Early Thursday morning, a homeowner in Aspen Hill bravely defended their residence from two intruders by discharging a firearm. The Montgomery County Police Department confirmed the arrest of one suspect following the incident.

Authorities responded to a distress call at approximately 3 a.m. in the 3200 block of Weeping Willow Court. Upon arrival, they gathered that two individuals had unlawfully entered the home. The quick-thinking homeowner, upon encountering the trespassers, fired a single round. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the skirmish.

While one of the suspects is now in police custody, the second burglar remains at large. Local law enforcement has yet to release any descriptions or lookout notices regarding the second suspect. The case remains under active investigation, with police continuing to gather details on the incident.
