Atlanta Homeowner Shoots Man Attempting To Break In At 3am; Police

ATLANTA, GEORGIA — In a recent incident in southwest Atlanta, a resident shot a man who was allegedly attempting to break into their home. This event occurred early Sunday morning, with Atlanta police receiving a call at 3:13 a.m. about a shooting at a residence on Richardson Street SW. Upon arrival, officers discovered a man who had been shot in the chest. The injured individual was transported to the hospital, where he was listed in critical condition.

The identity of the wounded man has not been disclosed. According to the investigation, the homeowner shot him while he was purportedly breaking into the house. As of now, there has been no indication from authorities whether the homeowner will face any charges related to the shooting. The case is still under active investigation.
