Man Shot And Killed While Trying To Rob Two People In St. Louis

ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI — In an early Sunday morning incident in south St. Louis, a robbery attempt led to a fatal shooting. Two armed men approached a car on Minnesota Ave., declaring a robbery.

In self-defense, one occupant of the car fired at the assailants, critically injuring one. The injured suspect, identified as 34-year-old Donta Stone from Jennings Station Road, later died in the hospital.

Following the incident, the intended victims promptly reported the incident to the police, who are now conducting a thorough investigation into the events through the Homicide Division.
