Concealed Carrier Shoots Man In Groin As He Attacked Vehicle With Crowbar

PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA — In Philadelphia’s University City, a 22-year-old man was shot in the groin by a 27-year-old concealed carrying woman following a confrontation involving the man attacking her car with a crowbar. The incident, described by police as “road rage,” occurred at the intersection of 30th and Chestnut Streets.

The man had smashed the rear passenger-side window of the woman’s vehicle, prompting her to fire at him. He then fled the scene in his car, only to be found by authorities at 23rd and Market Streets, injured. The man was taken to Presbyterian Hospital in critical condition.

The woman, who legally possesses a firearm and has a license to carry, cooperated with the police, who recovered a shell casing from her vehicle. The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.

*This incident occurred back in May of this year, however we did not come across this story until now.
