Three Suffer Gunshot Wounds In Yet Another Road Rage Related Incident

ATLANTA, GEORGIA – Three men were shot during an altercation stemming from a road rage incident Tuesday evening. Just after 5:15 p.m., Gwinnett County police were summoned to a U-Haul dealership on Buford Drive. Responding officers found Shormoi Martin, 25, in the front seat of a Honda Accord, bleeding from a gunshot wound to his leg.

According to Gwinnett police spokesperson Hedeshi Valle, Martin accepted the officer’s offer of medical care but refused to answer them when asked how he was wounded. They eventually discovered that he had clashed in traffic with two men in a white work van. Both drivers pulled into the U-Haul lot, where Martin began shooting into the van from his Honda.

Martin attempted to leave but was stopped by the driver of the van. Unable to leave, he exited his car and fired into the van again. A passenger in the van managed to take the gun away from Martin, and then used it to shoot him in the leg.

Both occupants in the van were shot, with the driver wounded in the leg and the passenger wounded in the chest. Both left the scene and drove to a nearby fire station for medical assistance prior to the police arrival.

All three men were admitted to a local hospital and listed in stable condition. Martin is charged with aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during a felony.
