Florida Father Reportedly Shoots And Kills Daughter’s Abusive Ex-Boyfriend

GAINESVILLE, FLORIDA — On March 17, a man accused of attacking his former girlfriend was shot dead by the woman’s father in Gainesville, Florida.

The altercation took place at an apartment complex, where the ex-boyfriend reportedly assaulted the woman and then left the scene, according to KAKE.

The father arrived shortly after, and the ex-boyfriend returned approximately half an hour later, according to WEAR.

Armed with a handgun, the father reportedly fired a single shot at the attacker, hitting him in the chest, according to Gainesville police.

Following the shooting, the ex-boyfriend managed to exit the apartment but was later found deceased near his vehicle.

At the time of reporting, no charges have been filed in connection with the incident.
