The SafeVest Body Armor Bulletproof Vest Is An Affordable Option With Level 3A Protection

Published

I’m not sure how it started, but I got in touch with the folks over at SafeVest to see what their bulletproof vest was all about. The price seemed pretty low for a Level IIIA vest, so I wanted to check it out so I could see it in person.

The vest was shipped quickly and arrived safely. I opted for their SafeVest Body Armor Bulletproof Vest Level 3A model, which is a 1 size fits all. As soon as I took it out of the package, I could tell that the build is solid and well put together. The stitching is perfect, and the material is strong yet flexible.

From their website, let’s hit on each of their points about the product:

  • The Best Bulletproof Vest At An Unbeatable Price. Safevest Bulletproof Vest is the best value in body armor.  It provides level IIIA protection at an unbeatable price, just $279. Five major upgrades are now included in the vest to make it more concealable, more comfortable, and ready to work.  We are convinced, that if you need to buy a bulletproof vest, that safevest Bulletproof Vest is the best choice for you.

At the $279 price point, this is a steal for the amount of protection you’re getting. While I haven’t shot mine to see how it holds up as part of a review, there are plenty of videos out there that demonstrate how resilient this vest is.

  • What is level IIIA and why is it the right vest for me? Level IIIA (3A) is typically the highest level of protection you will find in soft armor. Our vest will protect you from everything from a 22lr to a .44 magnum and is also stab proof, That is great protection. Don’t settle for other vests that offer level IIA or level II. You want level IIIA.

As mentioned above, this is a soft armor vest, meaning it’s lighter and more comfortable than plates (and flexible), but they won’t offer as much protection as plates would. However, the vest comes with pockets on both front and back in case the user wants to add plates as additional protection, which would also cover you for rifle rounds.

  • What bullets can safevest protect against?A Class IIIA vest can protect against almost all handgun rounds. IIIA vests (ours included) are tested with bullets up to a .44 Magnum, which is a really powerful round. This vest will protect against smaller rounds as well. We are quite comfortable in saying that a class IIIA vest will protect you from almost any handgun you will encounter and certainly any handgun that someone conceals. Handgun violence makes up most of the shooting injuries in the US, so this bulletproof vest offers a great level of protection for you.

While we already discussed some of these points, the main takeaway is that you’re more likely to come under handgun fire than that of a person with a rifle. Depending on your need for a bulletproof vest, this one will still have you covered for rifles if you throw a set of steel plates in the pockets.

The vest itself is comfortable for a bulletproof vest, and I wore it around for almost an entire day under a jacket as I was doing my normal activities. You aren’t buying a bulletproof vest for comfort, however, but it does help that it’s not a nuisance while wearing it.

With free shipping and a money back guarantee, you can’t go wrong with this protection. If you’re interested in checking it out, click here to see all the details. At the $279 price point, you simply can’t go wrong if you’re in the market for a reliable IIIA bulletproof vest.

I hope to get additional products from them in the future, and will update you if that happens.
