Armed Man Fatally Shoots Aggressive Suspect On Metro Bus

KENT, WASHINGTON — Investigators are currently looking into a deadly shooting incident that occurred on a Metro bus in Kent.

The incident was reported around 1:00 p.m., involving a shooting on a bus belonging to King County Metro as it traveled through Kent. Following the incident, the bus stopped near the intersection of Central Ave S and E Gowe St. A man, aged 29, exited the bus and collapsed with a gunshot wound. Despite the efforts of police and fire crews to save him, he succumbed to his injuries.

Simultaneously, a 35-year-old man with minor injuries was found by the officers. He claimed to have been attacked by the deceased man on the bus.

Preliminary findings by the police suggest that the younger man initiated a confrontation with the older man on the bus, which escalated to the point where the 35-year-old shot him.

The 35-year-old man is reportedly cooperating with the detectives handling the case.

Currently, the specifics of what led to the fight and the nature of the relationship between the two men remain unclear.
