1 AM Robbery Doesn’t Turn Out As Planned For The Robber After Learning His Target Is Armed

SEATTLE, WASHINGTON — A 24-year-old is dead after police say he tried robbing another man shortly after 1 a.m. on the street. The other man, identified as being 39 years old, pulled out a gun and fired at the suspect.

The robbery suspect was taken to the hospital but later died.

If you don’t have to be out late at night, don’t be. Of course we can’t always avoid this, but be sure to use extra caution when venturing out late at night.

This armed citizen seems to have handled the situation pretty well, and there was no mention of him being injured during the incident.

Stories with few details like this one are hard to pick apart and learn from. Down the road, we could get lucky and see video evidence from this specific event, but it’s unlikely. Most of these stories go unnoticed and rarely make headline news that spreads across the county.

Because of that, many people aren’t aware of just how common these incidents are, and why we need to do what we can to ready ourselves for these encounters.
