New Video Shows Miami Gunman Firing At People On Street Before Fatally Shooting Random Man At Restaurant

Published

MIAMI, FLORIDA — Dustin Wakefield was a 21-year-old father who was gunned down by a suspect high on mushrooms as he ate at a restaurant with family, including his 1-year-old son. Wakefield kept himself between his son and the gunman as he approached, taking the bullet that ultimately killed him.

Wakefield was randomly targeted, and new video shows the gunman firing at people on the street just moments before he fatally shot Wakefield.

Luckily, no one was shot during the encounters on the street.

The suspect would later tell police that he was high on mushrooms, and felt ’empowered’.

This incident on the street could have been stopped if an armed citizen or police officer were present and quick to react. This is a clear reminder about the importance of paying attention to what is going on around you, and the importance of being able to defend yourself if a crazed mushroom-high psycho walks up to you on the street.
