WOODLAWN, MARYLAND — In the morning hours of Saturday May 8th, a man set fire to his home and gunned down multiple neighbors. The video shows responding officers as they engage with the 56-year-old suspect, who had just killed three neighbors and was still armed and determined to take others down with him.
In the video below, the body cam footage begins around the 15-16 minute mark, and will show cameras from multiple officers. It’s an absolutely tense situation, and they handled things well and were able to take out the gunman before he was able to shoot anyone else.
Good marksmanship under stress is not like practicing at the range. The dynamics of a situation such as the one above are changing every second, and a clear head and response are needed 100% of the time.
