New ATF Form 4473 Includes Non-Binary Option Under Question #14 Related To Sex Of Applicant

Published

The new ATF Form 4473 is out, and for anyone who’s purchased a gun before, knows it to be the background check form that performed during the transaction.

This new form is raising some eyebrows with a new option under the ‘Sex’ question. While it historically was Male or Female for the options, a third option is now available: Non-Binary.

The changes were proposed late last year, and went into effect with the new form, revised in May 2020.

These forms are available to be used now by gun shops across the Country, so the next time you’re there to make a purchase, you won’t be surprised by this addition.

But remember; don’t like on form 4473, as doing so would be a felony…
