Woman Shot And Killed, Police Say It Was Self-Defense

Published

MONTGOMERY, ALABAMA — A woman was shot and killed, and police are calling it a case of self-defense.

It happened one Sunday in June, near the 2400 block of Crossway Drive in Montgomery. Details are slim, but when police arrived, they found the woman with a gunshot wound. She was taken to the hospital where she later died.

Four other people were at the scene and questioned, but no one was taken into custody.

An initial investigation, Williams says, has determined the woman was shot in self-defense. The case is expected to be presented to a grand jury as a possible justifiable homicide.
