Ruger Range Drills Season 2 – Reloading. First, Kyle recommends practicing your reloads dry to start, so make sure your magazines are also empty. This drill covers two types of reloading scenarios The first is when your pistol runs dry and goes to slide lock. The second is when you might want to change magazines once you’ve finished a drill and put a new magazine in to go straight into the next drill (as opposed to having that magazine run dry and having to work a reload drill). You’ll find many similarities between the reloading drill and the drawing from a holster drill.
