Couple Engage Intruders In Gunfire, Both Lose Their Lives, 1 Suspect Still At Large

DALLAS COUNTY, MISSOURI — A husband and wife lost their lives after they interrupted a home invasion on September 30th. One suspect was captured, and the other remains at large.

On Sunday, Sept. 30, Dallas County deputies were dispatched to a home in Tunas, Mo. Officers found two homeowners deceased outside the residence. In a press release, Dallas County wrote, “It appears that during the early morning hours of this same date, the homeowners interrupted an attempted robbery/invasion. The homeowners engaged in a gun battle with the intruders, resulting in the loss of their lives.”

Joe and Brandy Allen of Tunas, Mo were killed while trying to defend themselves against these two low-life thugs.

On October 3rd, Jeffery Dale Lee Stevenson was arrested for the murders of the couple. His accomplice, 22-year-old Billy Sage Medley, is still on the loose and wanted by police. Medley is the person shown in the photo at the top of this article.

The victims’ father/father-in-law was the person who found the victims unresponsive just outside their home.

Hopefully police are able to find Medley quickly, so that this danger to society is locked up behind bars where he belongs.

Medley is wanted for murder and is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information on his whereabouts should notify the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office at 417-345-2441 or call 911.

When defending yourself in any situation such as this, the risk of being injured or killed is always there. It’s a sad day when we read about these stories, and we can only hope that the two men responsible are punished to the fullest extent of the law.
