Concealed Carrier Stumbles Upon Early Armed Robbery In Detroit, Engages In Shootout

DETROIT, MICHIGAN — I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again; try to avoid the gas station at midnight in Detroit, or anywhere for that matter.

A 34-year-old concealed carrier happened upon what seems to be the beginning of an attempted armed robbery, and the armed robber didn’t care too much to be spotted and pointed a gun at him.

That’s when the concealed carrier displayed a firearm of his own and began pulling the trigger.

The crook fired back and managed to hit the armed citizen twice; in his left arm and shoulder. He was taken to the hospital and his condition was not immediately available.

The bad guy got away, and there is no word as to whether or not he was injured during the shootout.

I wasn’t there, so I can’t say for sure if this played out the way I imagine it should. Once someone points a gun at you, you have a quick choice to make. That choice could turn into what we see here, or it could simply create a situation where the bad guy runs in the opposite direction.

Regardless, once you make the decision to draw your firearm, be prepared for the worst to happen. It’s a game-changer, and we hope that this armed citizen will recover from his injuries sustained during this unfortunate incident.
