You’re in a gun fight with four thugs who just tried to rob you on the street. Things go from zero to 100 in half a second. Your first magazine runs dry, and now you’re fumbling to reload the one remaining magazine you have.
You’re not quick enough, and the one-second-fumble effectively ends your life.
The above video is a great demonstration of an easy drill that you should be practicing at the range on a regular basis. It’s not a speed competition, although it’s great to get faster and faster with it. It’s more about going through the motions while getting those shots on target.
