SITUATION SUNDAY #003: You’re Out In The Middle Of Nowhere And Use Your Firearm In Self Defense And You Can’t Call Police. What Do You Do?

Ahh, Reddit. People post some interesting questions over in the /CCW subreddit and from time to time, we like to share them with you to get the conversation going.

Here’s this week’s scenario that will likely never happen, but it’s good to talk through it nonetheless. After all, it could cover many different scenarios where you may be unable to call police for whatever reason.

The Situation:

I was just wondering what would happen if you had to defend yourself but didn’t have a cell phone to call 911 afterward and nobody else is around. Middle of bum f**k nowhere and some psycho on drugs attacks you. You shoot but your phone is dead. Do you walk away or do you stay at the scene? What if it’s out of the way from human traffic (let’s say the woods, you were hiking a very non-trafficked trail). What would you do?
