MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE — A woman and her boyfriend were asleep inside their apartment when they awoke to the sound of glass breaking. Realizing that someone had entered their home, they hid in the closet.

The intruder, who turned out to be the woman’s ex-boyfriend, found them where they were hiding. As soon as he did, the male occupant shot the ex-boyfriend.

The suspect was transported to Regional Medical Center in critical condition.

This seems to be a clear-cut case of self-defense, as the current boyfriend did what he felt necessary to protect himself and his girlfriend.
