FBI: Crime Down, Gun Purchases Up In 2013

It’s funny how more guns always seem to equal less crime. A recent FBI report shows some promise for the gun community, as it shares some fantastic statistics with us: Crime is DOWN and gun purchases are UP.

The report, released Nov 10th, shows that violent crime and property crime rates fell below what they were in the previous year, both down over 4%, while background checks for gun purchases soared through the roof.

Breitbart News also makes note of an important statistic that they reported on in December of last year:

These record gun sales and the subsequent reduction in crime square perfectly with a Congressional Research Service report covered by Breitbart News on December 4, 2013. That study showed that the number of privately owned firearms in America increased from 192 million in 1994 to 310 million in 2009. At the same time, “firearm-related murder and non-negligent homicide” fell from 6.6 per 100,000 Americans in 1993 to 3.6 per 100,000 in 2000.

Coincidence? I think not. It’s just a few more statistics that prove the drop in violent crimes when more guns are in the hands of law-abiding citizens.

So, for every firearm purchase that you make, remember that you’re helping to bring down the violent crime rates across the country. Go forth and purchase as many firearms as you can. Let’s get the number closer to zero.
