If You Need To Evacuate Because Of Hurricane Ida, Take Your Guns With You

Published

Hurricane Ida is making its way to Louisiana, shaping up to be a whopping Category 4 storm when it makes landfall. There are millions under threat, and some have been under a mandatory evacuation.

If we learned anything from bad storms headed towards New Orleans, it’s that some people stay behind and others decide to loot.

If you leave, take your guns with you, or they could be sitting ducks for anyone who would want to score them via break-in during the aftermath of the storm. Not to mention water damage and other possible things occurring.

And likely, some places won’t be ready for people to return for weeks.

Luckily in Louisiana, it’s rather easy to travel within the state with firearms. Still, make sure that you’re following all local, state and federal laws.
